Torquemeters Ltd are a long established company, specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance power transmission and measurement systems, which are used by many of the world’s leading aero and industrial turbomachinery companies and independent R&D organisations.

The company offer a standard range of Torquetronic™ ET phase shift torquemeters rated from 1Nm to 80kNm with 0.1% FS accuracy, and speeds of up to 130,000rpm,and are typically supplied with Tordisc™ high speed couplings to connect the driving and driven machines.

Custom engineered variants are routinely supplied for demanding applications to suit customer requirements, including thrust balancing.

The company also provide complete bespoke high speed test stands for turbomachinery and electrical machine development for aerospace, automotive and motor sport applications. These can either be supplied as a simple dynamometer with PLC health monitoring, or as a turnkey rig, including oil and air flow, temperature and pressure control, using their advanced TORDAC™ automation system which allows fully automated testing, data acquisition and processing to present a full performance map of a test article such as a turbine wheel or a high speed motor.
